“It is not enough to study or reenact the accomplishments of our pioneers. We need to identify the great, eternal principles they applied … and then apply those principles to the challenges of our day. In that way we honor their pioneering efforts.”
— President Dallin H. Oaks, “Following the Pioneers,” Oct. 1997
Friends and neighbors—thank you for keeping our pioneer stories alive. This month we’ll spotlight the small, steady acts of faith and courage that have built our families, wards, and communities. Join us, bring a friend, and help us welcome new members to the Sons of Utah Pioneers Taylorsville–Bennion Chapter.
Bill Hardesty, 2025 SUP Chapter President
Come to know our fathers and turn our hearts to them; preserve the memory and heritage of the early pioneers of the Utah Territory and the western United States; honor present-day pioneers worldwide who exemplify these pioneer values; and teach these same values to the youth who will be tomorrow’s pioneers.
Pioneering Faith is our Future.

Annual Support Contribution — $25. Your annual contribution helps the Sons of Utah Pioneers Taylorsville–Bennion Chapter preserve and share the faith, courage, and pioneering heritage of our forebears. Contributions are used for chapter communications, community events, youth outreach, name tags, and the upkeep of pioneer monuments and markers.
Because a small portion of your contribution helps cover member materials and event costs, approximately $20 of your $25 annual contribution is tax-deductible as permitted by law.
